Melissa Eagen
Melissa is originally from Southern California but has been happily calling Texas home for years, and her approach to weddings reflects both. She has a genuine appreciation for different cultures and traditions, and she brings that curiosity to every couple she works with. Your day should feel uniquely yours, and that's something she takes seriously.
She started her career as a venue coordinator and planner in the Texas Hill Country, where she oversaw hundreds of weddings from both the venue and planning side. She's joined the Truly Together in 2021 and is at her best when she's juggling the details that make a wedding come together, every one different, every one teaching her something new.
The moments she loves most are the small ones. The ones that sneak up on you in the middle of everything else.

What's your favorite kind of couple to work with?
My favorite couples are the fun, quirky ones who love weaving meaningful personal details into their wedding day. I love when every element tells a story. One of my favorite examples was a groom who used to scoop ice cream, so the couple surprised their guests with an ice cream truck. He even showed off his old skills by tossing scoops of ice cream to his bride for her to catch! Those thoughtful, one-of-a-kind moments make a wedding unforgettable, and I love helping couples bring those ideas to life.
You've worn a lot of hats in this industry — what did that teach you about planning?
Being flexible is key, we are basically professional pivoters and to learn to love the spontaneous moments that come with that.
What do couples always seem surprised by when they work with you?
That their wedding day is seamless, and I often get complimented on my ability to oversee everything, my calming presence and allow my couples to stay fully present with all their guests.
What does a really good wedding day feel like from your side of it? A
happy couple that is completely present with their guests, and seeing smiling faces from the guests. A smooth running timeline mixed with loads of fun.
What about when you're not planning weddings?
I have an amazing hubby, two boys and two fur babies. When I am not planning weddings, we are often swimming at our neighborhood pools, watching monster movies, collecting all things FNAF, and enjoying playgrounds. I also can be found at working out at the gym or enjoying a crisp fountain diet coke on any given day. McDonalds still earns the top spot in my book!
