Cassie has been in the wedding and events industry since 2010, starting as Bride's Best Friend before rebranding to Truly Together Event Co. in 2022. The rebrand wasn't a marketing decision. It was a values statement: every couple deserves a planner who sees them fully.
She's personally planned or coordinated 270+ events across Austin, Dripping Springs, and beyond. Fifteen years in, she's the calmest person in the room, the most prepared person at the table, and the one who already answered the question you were about to ask.
What made you become a wedding planner?
Honestly? I pushed against it for a long time. The reputation of the industry kept me away. The bridezilla jokes, the princess culture, and the assumption that weddings all look the same, but then I got into it and fell in love with the logistics, the storytelling, and the clients. Our clients are genuinely some of the coolest people I've ever met. The friendships I've made here, clients and vendors alike, will last me a lifetime.
Fifteen years in, the part I still geek out on is finding the authentic story for each couple — that specific nugget that nobody else would think to bring into a wedding. Taking that and building a guest experience around it is my favorite thing we do.
What's something couples are surprised to learn about working with you?
I don't always tell you what you want to hear, but I will always tell you the truth. I'm your advocate first, and that means having the real conversations early so we're not wasting time or money later. Wedding planning is fun, but it's also a lot of honest discussions about values and priorities. I'd rather have those upfront than dance around them.
A wedding is a success when...
...guests start finding me toward the end of the night to tell me it was the best wedding they've ever been to — and that it was exactly like the couple. But the moment I love most is when my clients turn to me and say they couldn't have done it without me. That makes it all worth it.
I love my goofy puppy around the house, taking care of my horse, or finding the next thing that gives me an adrenaline rush.
I also love to drive. No, really. I've never owned a daily driver that wasn't a manual transmission. My last car was a teal convertible Mini Cooper S. Currently driving a white Golf R, which I love deeply and hope to get on the track in the near future! I am also planning give it some color soon - finding the white car in a parking lot is tough when it's already small.
"I'm anxious my words won't adequately convey her magic. The challenge we presented to Cassie was to seat 120 guests for a brief ceremony in our limited backyard space, then quickly turn it into a party that would vibe for hours. Minutes after the ceremony finished, the rows of chairs were gone and several 'living room lounges' magically appeared while guests were enjoying their first cocktail. It truly happened in the blink of an eye.
She is both relaxed AND detail-oriented. The day of the wedding she moved like a ninja to make sure everything and everyone was in the right place at the right time. Little problems were managed without fanfare, the day truly was perfection, and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. My only regret was that I wouldn't get to hang out with Cassie anymore. She's just that cool."
